SCST Officer Nominations
Organize the activities for the annual SCST meeting to be held in conjunction with the annual NSTA meeting. This includes organizing and planning the conference program and sessions, planning the SCST social and poster session, and ensuring that rooms are reserved for the sessions, social, and business meetings.
Serve ex officio as a member of all committees
Assume responsibility of the President in the event of absence or disability of the President.
Succeed to the office of the President at the conclusion of the 2 year term.
The Secretary-Treasurer shall maintain the official record of the proceedings of the Society and meetings of the Executive Board.
Maintain the Operation Policies documents for the Society.
Maintain the financial records and prepare the financial reports of the Society. Represent the Society in the conduct of its business dealings. Report on the Society’s finances and budget at the Annual Business Meeting.
2 Positions Open
The Councilors-at-Large shall serve on the Executive Board in such a capacity as is appropriate to the needs of the Society. Perform duties assigned by the Executive Board, typically this includes recruiting and organizing presenters for one of the regional SCST/NSTA meetings. SCST has a two-hour time allotment at each regional meeting that requires between 4-6 presenters to fill.
National Membership Chair
The National Membership chair shall obtain and maintain the official membership records of the Society. Provide the Executive Board and the general membership with summary reports on the status of membership in the Society on at least an annual basis. Chair the Membership committee, and work to recruiting and retain membership as designated by the Executive Board or President.
